Aurora Sound Studios was founded in 2010 by Elias Thorne, a passionate audio engineer with a vision to create a world-class recording facility in the heart of Seattle's thriving music scene. Elias, a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, recognized the need for a studio that combined cutting-edge technology with a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere. His initial goal was simple: to provide artists with the tools and expertise they needed to bring their sonic visions to life.
The studio started modestly, in a converted warehouse space in the SODO district. Elias poured his heart and soul into renovating the space, carefully designing the acoustics to create optimal recording environments. He invested in a carefully curated selection of vintage and modern equipment, prioritizing quality and versatility. Word quickly spread among Seattle's musicians, and Aurora Sound Studios soon became known for its exceptional sound quality and personalized service.
Over the years, Aurora Sound Studios has evolved and expanded, adapting to the ever-changing landscape of the music industry. We relocated to a larger, purpose-built facility in the Ballard neighborhood in 2018, allowing us to accommodate larger ensembles and offer a wider range of services. We've also invested in the latest digital audio workstations and plugins, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of audio technology. Throughout our journey, we've remained committed to our founding principles: providing exceptional sound quality, personalized service, and a supportive and inspiring environment for artists.

Elias is the founder and chief engineer of Aurora Sound Studios. With over 15 years of experience in the audio industry, Elias is a seasoned professional with a passion for sound. He oversees all aspects of the studio's operations, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality. Elias holds a degree in audio engineering from Berklee College of Music.
Maya Rodriguez
Senior Audio Engineer
Maya is a senior audio engineer at Aurora Sound Studios, specializing in mixing and mastering. With a keen ear for detail and a deep understanding of music production techniques, Maya helps artists achieve a polished and professional sound. She has worked on numerous award-winning albums and film scores.
Samuel Parker
Assistant Audio Engineer
Samuel is an assistant audio engineer at Aurora Sound Studios, providing support to the senior engineers and assisting with recording sessions. Samuel is a graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle and is eager to learn and grow in the audio industry. He is also skilled in podcast production and voice-over recording.
